Client: MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles Project: Book design, podcasts Editors: Peter Noever, Aaron Sprecher, O.S.A.
Publisher: MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles
Strategy: This companion publication is themed around the concept of generative design and genetic architecture, using a pseudo-code to texture the cover with fluorescent ink that glows in the dark. Different codes create an infographic scheme that ties the book, podcasts, and exhibition
together. Each participant is represented through a graph logo based on a braille binary logic. The page numbering and table of contents are non-hierarchical but data-driven, allowing the user to access the book’s information in different ways. All related print materials followed the same visual identity.
